EADS Astrium brings space to the service of the customer, offering innovative, highly competitive end-to-end tailored solutions in the fields of secure communications and satellite navigation. The European ’one-stop-shop’ provider for military satellite communications services, EADS Astrium Services is delivering managed secure military satellite services to a number of countries – ASTEL-S convention in France, SATCOMBw programme in Germany (to start operations in 2009), and, via its wholly-owned subsidiary Paradigm Secure Communications, all the UK MoD’s satellite communications requirements, and service provision to NATO, Portugal and Canada.
EADS Astrium Services is also a major partner in the consortium selected to manage services to be provided by the new European global satellite navigation system, Galileo, scheduled to be operational at the end of this decade.
