CNGE, the French Confederation of “Grandes Ecoles” is a non-profit organization which was set up in 1973. It has 215 members, most of them heads of “Grandes Ecoles” and other institutions both in France and abroad. It aims to promote the « Grandes Ecoles » system both nationally and internationally, in order to encourage innovation in engineering and management training, as well as to develop on-going education and research activities. Moreover, it acts as a voice with government policy-makers and the research community.
The CDI is an international independent institution for post-graduate education. It was created in France and in Germany and in partnership with leading corporations throughout the world. The aim is to bring together top engineering graduates with real leadership potential from the best universities in Europe, America and China, and to train them to be future high potential managers. On September 30th, 2003, EADS and the CDI signed an official agreement laying down the basis for long term co-operation in the field of education in Germany and France. EADS thereby shows its commitment to offering excellent career prospects to high potential graduates from the CDI.
Femtec was founded in 2001 by the "Europäische Akademie für Frauen in Politik und Wirtschaft Berlin e.V" and the TU Berlin. EADS has been a Private Public Partner of Femtec since 2003. The aim of this cooperation between Femtec and industrial companies is to promote engineering studies among young girls and women, and to help high potential and specialized female students enter the aerospace industry. Furthermore, EADS has committed itself to intensifying its equal employment policy. EADS takes an active part in career advice workshops designed for FEMTEC students as well as in conference days.
Since 1992, the French EPF and the German Fachhochschule München engineering university have been working together to set up an integrated Franco-German programme. In order to mark the 10th anniversary of the programme students now no longer receive a double-diploma, but an integrated Franco-German Masters-degree in “Production & Information Technologies”, a degree which meets the new standards of the European Educational System. EADS officially sponsors the EPF/FHM double-diploma. 2003 graduates were sponsored by the EADS Corporate Research Center (CRC) on the theme of “Production and Automisation”.
GE4 is a private association which was created in 1996 with the support of European industry and academic institutions. Its aim is to facilitate the mobility of engineers and managers worldwide. EADS as a major partner of the GE4 network plays a very active role in matching the current needs of European industry and the GE4 exchange programmes.
The PERCI Programme was set up by the Supelec and aims at developing engineering and research education within Supelec itself and promoting cooperation with industrial partners. Within this programme, EADS is mainly active in the Industrial Cooperation Commission together with 26 of France’s leading companies in the field of electrical engineering. The Commission encourages closer cooperation in the educational and industrial sector, paying special attention to the evolution of the learning programme.
TIME network “Top Industrial Managers for Europe” and Club Time +
EADS is an active member of Club Time Plus. The club brings together 13 major French companies. Its aim is to take part in on-going discussion with the TIME Network in order to ensure consistency between educational programmes and the evolving needs of industrial companies. The TIME Network, created by the Ecole Centrale de Paris is composed of 41 of Europe’s best Engineering universities. Students joining the time programme study as exchange students in one of the partner universities and are awarded double diplomas at the end of their studies.
