The Military Transport Aircraft Division (MTAD) is producing solutions designed to fit the differing needs of the world’s air forces for tanker/transport aircraft. MTAD has recognised the wide range of mission requirements and offers customised solutions based on two Airbus platforms: the tried-and-tested A310-300 and the best selling A330-200.

In-flight transfer of fuel can be carried out either by hose and drogue systems or a fly-by-wire boom of the latest generation. Military avionics needs are met thanks to the new state-of-the-art developments incorporated into the aircraft.

Flexible integration of platform and system functionality enables MTAD to meet the air-to-air refuelling/air transport mission requirements of any air force in the world.

MTAD also welcomes the opportunity to work with governments and local industry to define the most appropriate work share and technology co-operation.

In their troop transport function, the two families of derivatives offer a series of solutions to meet the needs of any air force, and can also be adapted for any specific objective: transportation of casualties, VIP transport, etc.
