Louis Gallois, born on 26 January 1944, is Chief Executive Officer of EADS.

Prior to assuming this position, Gallois served as President of SNCF, the French railway company.

Gallois began his career in 1972 and worked in various posts for the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Research and Industry and the Ministry of Defence.

In 1989 he was nominated Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SNECMA. Subsequently, from 1992 to 1996, Gallois served as Chief Executive Officer of Aerospatiale, an EADS predecessor.

Gallois has been a member of EADS' Board of Directors since 2000. In addition to that, he is a member of the Board of Directors of Ecole Centrale des Arts et Manufactures and President of the Fondation Villette – Entreprises.

Louis Gallois graduated from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Economic sciences and is an alumnus of the École Nationale d'Administration (ENA).
