Eurocopter Donauwörth is the Head Office of Eurocopter Germany.  Overall, the Group's products account for 30% percent of the total world helicopter fleet.The final assembly lines of the EC 135 (picture) and the NH90 are located at Eurocopter Donauwörth, Germany. Furthermore the composite and mechanical and blades mechanical centre, delivery, test flight serial, customer service, training centre and blades industrial centre are situated there.

Civil Range

The AS355N is the powerfull twin-engined version of the Ecureuil family. Fitted with 2 Turbomeca ARRIUS 1A engines, it benefits from the FADEC system (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) wich makes piloting easier and safer. It is compliant with the JAR OPS 3 regulation requirements. Carrying passengers over urban areas implies for the helicopter to be endowed with excellent one-engine-inoperative performance. That is why the Ecureuil AS 355N appears to be one of the best light twin helicopter suited for missions like: operation on oil rig platforms, harbor pilot transportation, above urban environment or inhospitable areas.

The Colibri EC 120 B is a light single-engine helicopter which can carry up to 4 passengers in addition to the pilot. The design of the cabin/luggage hold assembly makes it particularly suitable for widely different types of civilian and parapublic missions. The first helicopter in its class (1.6 ton) to comply with the requirements of the new JAR 27 regulations, the Colibri is fitted with crash-resistant fuel system, pilot and passenger seats. Very silent (6.6 dB below the ICAO limit) and with a very wide cabin featuring excellent visibility, the Colibri's flight comfort is unique in its category. This modern helicopter is fitted with a Turbomeca Arrius 2F engine and a new-generation shrouded tail rotor as well as modern avionics. Having been taken into consideration from the design phase, this helicopter's maintenance is simple and economical.
