In addition to standard aviation certification, JAR OPS 1 and EASA Part 145, governing all aspects of commercial operations, including Training, Operational Standards, Maintenance and Safety, FARNAIR was one of the very first airlines in Europe, to introduce and apply a Quality Management System, certified according to ISO 9001-2000 Quality Standards (Certification Number 80064).
ATR Elegance Cabin and IFE The ATR family (ATR 42 and ATR 72) benefits from the widest cabin in the regional market (seat width equivalent to a Boeing 737), providing thus maximum passenger space and setting new standards of comfort. The "Elégance" cabin, proposed as an option on the -500 series aircraft, has been developed in 2003 to further enhance the level of comfort for the passengers. This new cabin incorporates new ergonomical seats, designed and manufactured by Avio Interiors, as well as new furnishing panels and colour schemes. The Italian architect Stefano Gris in close partnership with ATR design office has designed this new cabin interior.

Alenia Aeronautica´s manufacturing facilities in Pomigliano near Naples, (Italy), produce the aircraft fuselage and tail sections. Final assembly (picture), flight-testing, certification and deliveries are under the responsibility of ATR.
