EADS welcomes European Commitment for Military Transport Aircraft A 400M

The European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company - EADS welcomes the Commitment of seven European Defence Ministers to purchase the A 400M Military Transport Aircraft. "This decision is of great importance for the Military Transport Aircraft Division of EADS and confirms the ability of Europe to develop its own defence identity" stated Alberto Fernandez, Head of the Military Transport Aircraft Division of EADS.


EADS has a workshare in the A 400M programme of approx. 60 percent, according to the number of aircraft actually ordered by the EADS member countries France, Germany and Spain. The partners of EADS in this Project are Alenia (Italy), BAE Systems (Great Britain), Flabel (Belgium) and Tusas (Turkey). The final assembly line of the A 400M will be located at the San Pablo facility in Seville.
