EADS Secure Networks, an integrated line of Business of EADS Defence & Security (DS), has been selected to deploy a digital TETRA radio communication system on the North Luzon railway in the Philippines.
Deployment is to be done together with Beijing Huatie Information Technology Development Company. The consortium will deliver data and voice applications for the train dispatcher system based on EADS TETRA system. The equipment includes 1 switch, 3 base stations and more than 100 terminals among others.
The system is planned to be operational on 30th of June 2009.
