ASTA (Aircrew Synthetic Training Aids) is a unique and cost-efficient training system which, thanks to the most advanced combination of virtual and real training systems currently available, simulates the procedures, processes and operational scenarios of the partner nations' air forces in an environment consisting of highly varying threats and weather conditions.

EADS Military Air Systems is the "hosting company" and participates in the design, development and manufacture of 18 full mission simulators and nine cockpit trainers, as well as helping to provide the simulator infrastructure and product support.

The company is also involved in the construction of training centres in Germany and Spain that offer the world's air forces unique training conditions.
