ATR Cargo Farnair ATR is a joint-venture between Alenia Aeronautica and EADS, each have a 50% share in the ATR programme. Its ATR 42 and ATR 72 are the perfect solution on short-haul routes around the world. ATR is the world leader in the 50 to 74 seat turboprop market. With its ATR 42-500 and ATR 72-500, ATR supplies state-of-the-art aircraft with jet-like comfort. It features exceptional economics when compared to similar sized turboprop and jet competitors on typical regional sectors: on 200 Nm, ATR 72 operating costs are about 18% lower than its direct competitor, and up to 40% more economic than a similar sized regional jet. The advanced six-blade propeller provides remarkably low noise levels. Low fuel burn and less production of gaseous emissions - CO2 - contribute to make the ATR environment friendly. In addition to standard aviation certification, JAR OPS 1 and EASA Part 145, governing all aspects of commercial operations, including Training, Operational Standards, Maintenance and Safety, FARNAIR was one of the very first airlines in Europe, to introduce and apply a Quality Management System, certified according to ISO 9001-2000 Quality Standards (Certification Number 80064). |
