Composition of the EADS Board of Directors

Rüdiger Grube

Mr. Rüdiger Grube was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors of EADS in April 2007. He is a member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler AG since October 1, 2001, responsible for Corporate Development. He is also responsible for all North East Asia activities of DaimlerChrysler AG including China. Mr. Grube holds an engineers’ degree in aircraft construction and engineering from the University of Hamburg and a doctorate in industrial science. He started his career in 1989 at MBB in Munich. In 1995, he became Director of Corporate Planning and Technology of Deutsche Aerospace AG. In 1996, he was appointed Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Strategy at Daimler-Benz AG and subsequently of DaimlerChrysler AG. In 2000, he became Senior Vice President for Corporate Development.

Louis Gallois

Mr. Louis Gallois is sole Chief Executive Officer of EADS since August 2007, after having exercised the duties of Co-Chief Executive Officer of EADS and President and CEO of Airbus since 2006. From 1972 he held various positions in the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Research and Industry and the Ministry of Defense. In 1989 he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SNECMA and subsequently, in 1992 Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aerospatiale. After that he was appointed Chairman of SNCF in 1996. Mr. Gallois graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Economic sciences and is an alumnus of the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA).

Rolf Bartke

Mr. Rolf Bartke is Chairman of Kuka AG (former IWKA AG). He started his career in 1976 as managing director of commercial agents of Unimat GmbH in Düsseldorf. After that, he joined Nutzfahrzeuge Ludwigsfelde GmbH and Entwicklungsgesellschaft für Kraftfahrzeuge GmbH, which became a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz in 1994. He was managing director in the fields of Commercial Vehicle Planning and Projects, Commercial Vehicle Development, Marketing and Sales Planning for Unimog and MB-trac. Between 1995 and 2006, he was Head of the business unit Vans at DaimlerChrysler AG. Mr. Bartke holds a PhD in industrial engineering from the University of Karlsruhe.

Dominique D'Hinnin

Mr. Dominique D’Hinnin has been Chief Financial Officer of the Lagardère SCA since 1998. He joined Lagardère in 1990 as advisor to the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Group. After that, he held different positions within the Group, first being appointed as Internal Audit Manager, and then Chief Financial Officer Hachette Livre in 1993, before being appointed Executive Vice President of Grolier Inc in the United States. Mr. D’Hinnin is an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure and is an Inspecteur des Finances.

Juan Manuel Eguiagaray Ucelay

Mr. Juan Manuel Eguiagaray Ucelay is Director of Studies at the think tank Fundación Alternativas. Between 1970 and 1982 he taught economics at Deusto University in Bilbao. Since the 1970’s he held various political mandates in Spain; amongst others he was Minister for Public Administration (1991-1993) and Minister for Industry and Energy (1993-1996). He resigned from Parliament in 2001. Mr. Eguiagaray Ucelay holds a degree in Economics as well as in Law by Deusto University and a Ph.D. degree by the same University.

Arnaud Lagardère

Mr. Arnaud Lagardère has been General Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Lagardère since 2003. He began his career in 1986 as General Manager of MMB, the holding company of Hachette and Europe 1. In 1987, he was appointed Vice President of the Supervisory Board of Arjil bank followed by his appointment as Head of emerging activities and electronic media for Matra. In 1994 he became Chief Executive Officer of Grolier Inc. in the U.S. He has been Managing Partner of Lagardère since 1998. In 1999, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of both Lagardère Media and Lagardère Active. Arnaud Lagardère graduated in Economics from the University of Paris Dauphine.

Hermann-Josef Lamberti

Mr. Hermann-Josef Lamberti has been a Member of the Management Board of Deutsche Bank AG since 1999 and is Chief Operating Officer of this company. He started his career 1982with Touche Ross in Toronto, before joining the Chemical Bank in Frankfurt. From 1985 on, he held various management positions within IBM, working both in Europe and the U.S., in the fields of Controlling, Internal Application Development, Sales, Personal Software, Marketing and Brand Management. In 1997, he was appointed Chairman of the Management of IBM Germany. He joined Deutsche Bank AG as Executive Vice President in 1998. Mr. Lamberti studied Business Administration at the Universities of Cologne and Dublin, and graduated with a Master’s degree.

Lakshmi N. Mittal

Lakshmi N. Mittal is the President and CEO of ArcelorMittal. Mr Mittal founded Mittal Steel Company (formerly the LNM Group) in 1976 and guided its strategic development, culminating in the merger with Arcelor, agreed in 2006, to found the world's largest steel maker. He is widely recognised for the leading role he has played in restructuring the steel industry towards a more consolidated and globalised model.
Mr. Mittal began his career working in the family's steelmaking business in India, and has over 30 years' experience working in steel and related industries.

Sir John Parker

Sir John Parker is Chairman of National Grid plc and the Non-Executive Directors Committee of the Bank of England. He is joint Chairman of Mondi plc and Deputy Chairman of DP World (Dubai) and Non Executive Director of the Carnival Cruise Line Group. He is a member of the International Advisory Board of Citi Group and Chancellor of the University of Southampton. He leads Young Offenders into work programme and is a Member of the Prime Minister’s Business Council for Britain. He studied Naval Architecture and Mechanical Engineering at the College of Technology, Queens University, Belfast. He was awarded a DSc (Eng) as well as a number of Honorary Doctorates from Universities in Britain and Ireland. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering. His Industrial career has spanned the Shipbuilding, Engineering of Defence sectors. He has some 25 years experience as a CEO with British Shipbuilders; Harland & Wolff & the Babcock International Group. He has also served for over 20 years as a Non Exec Director on the Boards of British Coal, GKN, British Gas, P&O Princess Cruises and Brambles Industries (Australia). He has also been Non Executive Chairman of the RMC Group & the P&O Group.

Michel Pébereau

Mr. Michel Pébereau who created BNP Paribas as chairman and CEO in 2000, is Chairman of the Board of BNP Paribas since 2003. He started his career in 1967 at the Inspection Générale des Finances. In 1970 he joined the French Treasury where he held various high ranking posts. From 1982 on, he became Managing Director of the Crédit Commercial de France, and after its privatisation in 1987, its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. In 1993, he was appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Banque Nationale de Paris. Mr. Pébereau is an alumnus of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration and of the Ecole Polytechnique.

Bodo Uebber

Mr. Bodo Uebber has been a Member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler AG and is responsible for Finance, Controlling & Financial Services since December 16, 2004. He started his career at MBB in 1985. From 1989 on, he held various positions in the financial sector within DASA AG, Dornier Luftfahrt and MTU Aero Engines GmbH. In 2001, he was appointed Member of the Board of Management and Chief Financial Officer of DaimlerChrysler Services AG and subsequently in 2003 Chairman of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler Services AG as well as Deputy Member of the Board of Management of DaimlerChrysler AG. Mr. Uebber studied and graduated in engineering and economics at the Technical University of Karlsruhe.
