Mrs. Marie-Agnes Veve, Head of Eurocopter activities in India and Mr. Rainer Farid, VP Sales South Asia, Eurocopter presented a memento to Mr. R.K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director, Pawan Hans commemorating the occasion in the presence of the Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Paful Patel and the French Ambassador, his Excellency Mr. J. Bonnafont as well as the French official delegation.

Premium AEROTEC in Augsburg receives autoclave for fuselage structure of new Airbus A350 XWB

Augsburg - Premium AEROTEC is gearing up for series production of the new A350 XWB long-haul aircraft. The autoclave (pressurised oven), 25 metres long and eight metres high in diameter, has been delivered to the plant in Augsburg. Premium AEROTEC is the world’s largest supplier of fuselage structures for the A350 XWB. Total investment at Premium AEROTEC for this future generation of aircraft amounts to around € 360 million.

Eurocopter presents new EC225 Fire-Fighting System

Houston - Eurocopter displays its new fire-fighting system developed for the EC225 at this year’s Heli-Expo. The system, which has been extensively tested during forest fires on the island of Corsica (France), is one of the most effective and powerful helicopter-borne fire-fighting systems available in the market. The first operator to utilize this system is South Korea’s National 119 Rescue Service with its EC225.

Eurocopter enhances Cabin Comfort for a smoother Ride

Houston - Eurocopter’s R&D teams are working on several programs to enhance cabin comfort providing customers with a smoother ride. Five-blade main rotors as on the EC155 and EC225 have led to a significant reduction of vibrations. Advanced rotor systems such as a piezo active rotor, designated Blue Pulse™ and currently under development, are designed to minimize vibrations further. However, advanced anti-vibration systems applicable to present-day helicopters are another, pro-active approach to reducing vibrations. Having all aspects of customer comfort in mind, Eurocopter also develops new air conditioning systems to cope with all aspects of cabin temperature.

En 2009, Eurocopter a atteint ses objectifs en termes de chiffre d’affaires et de livraisons, enregistrant une baisse de ses ventes civiles et une hausse de ses commandes militaires

Paris - Premier constructeur mondial d’hélicoptères, Eurocopter a rempli ses objectifs fixés pour l’année 2009 en termes de commandes et de livraisons et stabilisé son chiffre d’affaires au niveau de 2008, son année record. La crise économique mondiale a provoqué une forte baisse du volume des ventes d’hélicoptères civils légers. Toutefois, les commandes gouvernementales ont compensé en termes de valeur la chute des ventes d’appareils civils, avec à la clé le deuxième meilleur résultat de toute l’histoire de la société par le nombre de commandes enregistrées. Conformément à la feuille de route d’Eurocopter, les activités Support & Services ont été renforcées par la signature de plusieurs contrats majeurs.

Helibras va moderniser 34 hélicoptères d’Eurocopter pour l’Armée brésilienne

Marignane - Helicópteros do Brasil S.A.-Helibras, la filiale d’Eurocopter au Brésil, a signé le 24 décembre 2009 un contrat pour la modernisation de 34 hélicoptères Panther AS365K de l’aviation légère de l’armée de terre brésilienne. Il s’agit du plus gros contrat de service signé par la filiale brésilienne au cours de plus de 30 ans de présence dans le pays. Ce programme conduira à une nouvelle génération d’hélicoptères Panther qui bénéficiera des dernières évolutions techniques développées par Eurocopter.
